Fall Wedding Ideas for a Wayback Wedding

Dixie and Wyatt's Wayback Wedding

On a beautiful November day in Austin, Texas, Dixie and Wyatt said, "I do!" The Wayback was the perfect setting for their garden party with some of the best fall wedding ideas if you love vintage details. They had a beautiful wedding that blended their personalities with fun Texas-inspired charm.

A Weekend of Celebrations

Dixie and Wyatt, both Austin locals, kicked off their wedding weekend with a backyard welcome party at their home for their friends and family. This was the perfect way for them to set the tone for a weekend full of love. After the welcome party, some of their closest friends and family joined them at The Wayback to stay in our cottages before the wedding day. When they woke up that Saturday morning while Dixie was getting ready, Wyatt had his friends and family join him at his favorite gym for a morning workout before the ceremony. After his workout, he joined the wedding party back at The Wayback to start getting ready.

Fall Wedding Ideas For Decor with a Story

Once they were both dressed in their wedding attire, they headed outside for their first look. Not only was this their first look at each other before the ceremony, but the first look at the wedding design. They could take in all of the decor they had been planning to have the year leading up to the wedding. Dixie, a local bookstore owner, made sure her passion for books was a part of their wedding day. Guests could find their table number by looking at the bookcases that doubled as a creative seating chart. This was a great way to add personalizations to the day without going over the top with a specific theme.

After they took some photos together, it was time for the guests to arrive, so they were tucked away in a cottage as the guests sat in their seats. The ceremony was a dream straight out of a garden fairy tale, with a flower meadow lining the aisle. The floral arrangements were the perfect touch to compliment the Texas Hill Country views at the ceremony space.

Personalized Party Favors For Wedding Guests

Once the ceremony was over, Dixie and Wyatt took a few more couple photos and enjoyed a private dinner arrangement for the two of them away from the party, while their guests enjoyed a cocktail hour with comfy vintage couches and chairs, which was the perfect relaxing lounge space to match the bookcase seating chart. Another personalization they did for their guests was a custom bandana station, bringing a hint of Texas flair into their wedding day. The custom bandana station was a hit, allowing guests to embroider their names on bandanas; wedding guests always love it when there is an activity, even if they are just watching it happen. We love live paintings, custom embroidery, or live music.

A Campfire to End The Evening

As the sun set, the reception was held on the lawn, and dinner was prepared by The Wayback Café. Once dinner was over they had a live band playing as the rest of the evening was spent dancing and laughing. Another special touch Dixie and Wyatt requested for their wedding day was a campfire for guests to enjoy as it got darker and cooler outside. It was the perfect way to end their wedding day with their closest friends and family!
