Planning your dream wedding at a boutique hotel like The Wayback can be the answer if you want a stress-free wedding. We've put together five tips based on our experience hosting beautiful weddings right here and why you should host your own wedding at The Wayback.
Tip #1: Hire a Wedding Planner
Save yourself time and money, and hire a wedding planner. At The Wayback, couples must work with a wedding planner to ensure their big day runs smoothly. This allows you to truly relax instead of worrying about vendors and timelines. Your wedding planner will handle all the details, so your friends and family won't have to work during the wedding weekend. Allowing everyone to relax. Check out one of our favorite wedding planners, Shelby of Plan On It Events and Design. She knows The Wayback like the back of her hand.
Tip #2: Keep All Events in One Location
One of the best parts about The Wayback being your wedding venue is that we can host your wedding weekend here. Starting the Thursday or Friday before your wedding, host your welcome party and rehearsal dinner in our cafe. The next day, you'll have the ceremony and reception on the back lawn, and the day after your wedding, send your guests off with a post-wedding brunch on the patio. Hosting each event in one location eliminates the stress of transportation for your guests. It turns your wedding into a mini getaway for your guests.
Tip #3: Arrange Transportation for Your Guests
While we offer eight cottages for your friends and family to stay in for the weekend, you'll likely have additional guests staying nearby. To make it easier for your guests, have your wedding planner arrange a shuttle service to transport these guests to and from their hotels to The Wayback. This way, everyone can enjoy the wedding without worrying about returning to their hotel.
Tip #4: Take Advantage of Our On-Site Services
A wedding venue with perks! Not only do we provide you with tables, chairs, and utensils if you'd like, but we take care of all of your catering and bartending services. Our Wayback Cafe team will provide custom menus from appetizers to multi-course meals and a signature drink for your guests to enjoy during cocktail hour.
Tip #5: Provide Guests with an Itinerary
Communication is the key to a relaxing wedding weekend. Providing your guests with an itinerary of the weekend's events will ensure that you do not have to worry about guests not knowing what's happening, but the guests know what to expect when RSVPing. To avoid confusion, include details about event locations, timings, and dress codes. Our blog also offers guidance on appropriate wedding attire for different seasons. Feel free to send your guests inspiration on what to wear for a fall or winter wedding at The Wayback.
